15. The state sent me 2 additions that had to be our website.  One was the bullying pdf:  JICK-Bullying-and-Harrassment-Policy.pdf. I made a menu the is on my old website shown above. (the pink bg). I don't like the fancy looking state stuff.  I tend to have the links that are way in the background and not bringing attention to themselves.  We are not an A school because we teach the special ed students.  The A schools go 1 or 2 grades ahead to weed out the families/students that can't keep up (special ed students).  This is wrong but the way to get the top students with the top scores.  No special ed students is their answer.  We won't do that.  We teach everyone and help the children that need help
16. I like to ftp the state pdfs to the html directories I make and link them on the website to keep the speed up and accurate.  This is not part of the wordpress programming.  It's not fancy but the state stuff isn't supposed to be fancy.  It's very legal instead of fancy.  I can put the directories on the new site and you can link to them as I give you the link name from the ftp link.
17. The googlesearchconsole html file is on the root html directory or the hosting horizonschool.org. The Google file is:  googlebfc8f9035729c379.html. I am the owner of horizonschool.org and it's linked to Jimwyler@gmail.com It is verified for my URL status.  The googlesearchconsole is the big daddy of analytics of Google.  This is where the analytics gets it's data.  My HTML page before WordPress had 700 pages and was lightning fast.  With WordPress, they like 5 to 10 pages to get similar speeds.  By putting the PDFs in the HTML root directory and linking them to the WordPress site, it's lightning fast and doesn't slow down php program at all.  They don't interact.  But you don't have to make state PDFs pretty.  Their just legal documents that we need to have.  If you want me to send the PDFs to the site, let me know.  They won't interact with the PHP database since their in the root HTML directory of the hosting.
18. Rich - I added you to have full permissions (shown above) digitalcause1@gmail.com with my url:  horizonschool.org - I am the owner of the url from my purchase a few years ago with GoDaddy.  I give you full access to the URL through googlesearchconsole to do full analytics for the URL.  I can add more emails to the team, just let me know.
19. I recommend again letting me upload the PDFs directory for the old and older PDFs we accumulated through the years.  It's just a few, and they do not slow down the site at all.  And send me any PDFs that you want me to post on the hosting, and I'll send you the link to use on WordPress and not use WordPress to access it.  That way it won't slow the site at all and use memory.
20. The other short menu is from old site (nhorizon.net) bottom which included 2 links to building the new website and other state stuff needed on the home page as liniks.
21. I would prefer letting me handle the advisory board meeting as I did on the old site (nhorizon.net) since I have to do the posting for board meetings.  The pdf I made for you can be changed with the old stuff and I can use wordpress to put the new things above it.  I would not have special logos but that's ok.  This is an official legal document for the school and the state.  The state checks our board meeting posts on Jann's computer to this file online to be sure they match the board meeting.  It's typical state stuff that we're used to.
22. I'll send you the partial historic PDF of the past board meetings as a PDF that is missing the top info (header) so that I can post the new board meeting info above it.  This way we don't have to make a new PDF every time we add a new board meeting with its graphics.
23. I would prefer making this file without being a PDF, just like we used to.  I sent the partial PDF without the header info.  This is a bit convoluted.  I can see how you don't want it to slow the page down.  It's much easier in the long run.  What we could do is make the old info start from a few months ago and make a new file and post a different partial PDF.  That would meet both ideas.  Speed and ease in the future.   Rich - let me (jim) know what you want to do.
24. Rich & Chris - I really like the logo shown above with the new orange.  It really works for me online.  And the light spokes are great for me.  The whole thing works for me with the text underneath the words NEW HORIZON.
25. 7-16-25 9:21 am - Linda told me that we need to put the handbook online.  I didn't do that in the past.  I didn't want people snooping around our things unless they were our parents or guardians or the state people who were authorized.  (me - Jim) I'll talk to Michael Mania to see what the policy is.  We have the parents sign off on reading the handbook.  It's in two languages.  I know you are making the website fast, and this will slow it down.  If we have to have it online, it would be best to be a PDF and let me put it in the PDFs folder on the hosting HTML root directory, and not on the WordPress PHP site.  If you want to change the PDF with logos of things, that's OK, and then I'll upload it for you to the hosting PDFs directory with a link for the website.
26. That's all for now.  I told Linda to email me &/or call me with anything that we want to put on your list.  I've also told Jann the same thing.  I know this is like herding cats, but I want all of us to help out.
27. Again.  I don't like making the state stuff a nice-looking and professional page.  We are not an A school.  Some of these pages show things that I don't want our parents looking at.  I try to make the state stuff hidden but with links that don't stick out.  See the small menus above in pink.  Note:  The 2 menus are live and go to the pages they're assigned to.
28. The strings page has a glitch.  The text is the same as the reading page.  Whoops . . .   I do the same thing when programming in Beaver Builder.  I start by duplicating a good page I like and change it.  It saves a lot of time.
29. It's a new video on the strings page with only the strings, not the singers at the end.
30. The music page is really General Music which includes singing.  Linda likes it to say "music" instead of gm which stands for general music.  So you might want to change the text if you want to explain it.  I know the Google grades each page by the dialog.
31. It's Saturday July 19th.  Everything has worked out with GoDaddy.  I added Chris to the GoogleSearchConsole for horizonschoolorg.  So you both have authorization for the website I own.  I transferred the nhorizon.net 3 year security system from nhorizon.net to horizonschool.org so now it's very secure.  I added security to my nhspa.us      So things are going well and smooth.
32. Linda sent many things to Rich that I'm not going to put here.  She likes to send things directly to Rich.  I know that Jann does the same thing so I'm only going to add things here that are from me at this point.
33. Reminder.  All the videos have been changed.  They are shown here above and below above the line with the sun on this page below.
34. I've notices that the link that doesn't need to go on the home page is highlighted over and over on the footer.  Please don't put this on the footer.  AZ State Board and AZ Performance.  These are not our strong points and do not need to be on the front page.  Only the advisory board meetings.
35. The advisory board meetings pdf is the one that isn't complete.  For now please put the complete one up.  After we get going I'll have to figure out how to update each few weeks for the next board meeting and info.
36. I'll check with Michael Mania to see if we need more info now.  We just had 2 board meetings.  I think they are up to date, but Michael might want me to post a graphic of the board meeting a week ago with the title plage as a graphic.
37. I think the best way to keep this page fast is to have me make another pdf that's up to 2 years ago and then create a text file that I can update regularly, not as a pdf.   We would link it to somewhere as the past board meetings like we did years ago which still lingers.  I can make the old old board meeting files into pdf too.
38. Let's leave the calendar alone.  It works fine.  I don't want to slow the website down with a calendar.
39. I want to emphasize that your work, Rich & Chris is amazing.  I love it.  You've taken my basic working site into a real classy site.  I love the florence layout of the pages and the colors.  I don't mind having multiple logos with many different colors and styles.  It's like modern art in a way.
40. I'm disappointed that some in England is using horizonschool.org.uk.   I bought this url a few years ago.  They found it and added the uk to it.  I like to talk to them.  My site is nhspa.us and I've tried to buy nhspa.org for $100.  They want 1500 to 3000 I think.  Their not responding to the $100 bid.  lol
41. Remember there is a lot of videos all over the internet for our school with links in my new site, nhspa.us.   To go along with that I have a webbuilder site I made a few years ago but didn't like it's flexibility as newhorizon.center
42. Look at the pic below.  Wow.  We were #1 when I searches for horizon school.  So all the things I've been doing for the last 3 months to have a better presence and your work with the brand new url are working together.  It currently goes to my nhspa.us thinking it's nhorizon.net from the years of Goggle posts and pictures, but when we forward the the new org site it will go with it.  Wow.  This is great!!!  Good work team.
