Jann told me that Linda wants me to fix some things in the videos.
I noticed that the 1st page of the website doesn't have the link for the "Advisory Board Meeting" page.
Everything is looking great.
I would hope that the 4 videos on the front page I just made into 16:4 would not have a shadow. The white bg is made to be bound to the white on the page. The shadow defeats this technique.
I'm so glad I finished the horn audition recording. My heart was reacting the the pressure of that project and my A-Fib came back yesterday. Today my heart is better thank goodness.
Let me know when you are ready to do the DNS URL switches.

I tried to explain this to our board meeting today, but they are confused.
Bob explained that it is like an "Alias". I explained that it's more than an alias. It's DNS forwarding when some is looking up nhorizon.net
Then the discussion of our stationery. Should we redo everything? Etc.
I explained that for now, just leave things the same, and when we get a chance, we can change everything. But for now, everything works good enough in this transition period.
This seems so easy for me, but I've been doing this kind of thing for so many years. I have so many URLs. I need to start selling some of them.

I took a capture of the new page swatch and found that you're using #fff, which is pure white.
If this is true then I don't have to rebuild the bg of the videos.
If you take the shadow effect off, the video should match the bg without drawing attention to it.

I looked at the new site and noticed that your background isn't pure white. That's OK with me but my videos have a pure white background.
I'll match your background and redo the videos to match.
The effect of having the videos stick out is cool but defeats my background idea of looking flat on the page to not pop out with a shadow around the video box.
Matching the bg color makes a nice effect so the edges of the page don't distract from the video itself.
This way, the bg melds with the real background so you don't see the edges of the material.

The concert band I play in performs at the TCA throughout the year. I'll see if you can get comp tickets for some of the concerts.
The new director is trying to make TCA go viral. Jon Gomez might be a future client.

A few years ago I built a New Horizon School for the Performing Arts site that is still opperational. It has a very good Google acceptance and has some followers.

I found it the other day when using google to find: charter school
It came up nicely after a few pages on the Google search.
This site has material that you could be used for the new site.
I can look up the links to any of the videos on Vimeo for that site too.

Jann hates the music behind her talking, but I like it. I agree that this is an epic video despite its problems. The piano's 1st note is chopped and not recorded well.
And the person who made Jann's video hit the record after she started, so it's also chopped.
An Jann smiled at the end, not at the beginning.
So this epic video is a mess for editing, but it turned out very well and extremely emotional.
Note: We have now had 2 of our old students bring THEIR CHILDREN to enroll this year.
We should interview them, explaining this with text and/or video.
This is turning into an epic website.

Mandatory Home Page (links)
Rich- I know that the complete "mission statement" had to be on the front page. I had moved it to a different page a month or so ago and the state called me and said: "The mission statement needs to be on the home (front) page. So I moved it back.
Michael Mania said that the Average Teachers Salarie and the Advisory Board Meeting link need to be on the home (font) page too. I'll put the complete mission statement at the bottom of this page.

Rich - I originally had these on the home page but I noticed that the other sites moved them somewhere else. So I guess that moving them as links to the Sate/Health Page should work. I'm working with Michael Mania for now and I will check with the state as we put things where we think they want them.

Rich - Let me know when you want me to copy the pdf files to the new hosting.
Since the pd's will be on the server it won't slow down your website. All you need to do it make a link to the pdf.
Using the WordPress pdf slows the site down and makes it bigger. But by having them in a directory the program just links to them sitting in a directory on the html part or the server.
When I rebuilt sites I have both the old and the new open in different screens (tabs) and copy and paste text and link info.
