Narr:
Shiloh: Beethoven's 9th Symphony ended with "Ode to Joy"
the music is about Freedom, Peace and Brotherly Love.
Sofia:  Beethoven slowly became deaf by the time he werote the 5th Symphony.
He proceeded to write 4 more Symphonies, including the famous 9th symphony with Ode to Joy in the last movement.

Ryker:  Our next number is a famous Beethovewn's 5gh Symphony.

Iker:  Our school's string program is based on the Suzuki Method.
Many of these songs are from the Suzuki Book 1 for vio0lin.

Some of our 3rd graders have asked to learn the violin before going into the 4th grtade string program.

The 3rd graders practice with Mr Wyler every Monday after school for 30 minutes.

Please welcome the 3rd graders as they play their first song:  DADEGAD.

3rd Graders

Sophia:  The nmext song is the core of our school's Suzuki method.
 The students are in ability level order.
The 1st 4 violinists will play first.
Then the rest of the 1st row will play.
Then the 2nd row and then the 3rd row 
before they all play together.

Ryker:  #2 #9 (Perpetual Motion and Minute 1 are the foundation of our advanced strings program at New Horizon.  The version of Minuet 1 is extremely difficult due to the ability to play low 2nd and high 21nd as shown in the music.

Ryker:

Some of our 4th graders auditioned and made it into our Advanced Orchestra. This is quite unusual for a 4th grader to learn this difficult song. 4th graders who auditioned for advanced orchestra please stand. Please show appreciation to these students.

Iker:

And many of our intermediate students auditioned to get into Advanced orchestra by also auditioning with Minuet 1. If you advanced from Intermediate to advanced orchestra please stand up. Shiloh: The orchestras are all oriented by their testing scores and are placed in chair positions.

MrW: The Advanced Orchestra will play #9 slow and then fast.  The slow version is with soft bouncing bows.

Sophia:  All of the string students will take the stage to play 3 songs to conclude our concert staring with #9 Perpetual Motion by Dr. Suzuki.  

 

Ryker:  We will play it twice.  Once slow and then fast.

Some studewnts will stand in concert position if they get behind in the fast version.
